All through Advent we’ve been talking about the only birthday gi ft that Jesus wants or needs: our love. Melanie showed everyone how we ca n “wrap” that love and bring it to church. Every child will need an empty toilet paper roll (or a cut down paper towel or wrapping paper roll)\, a small square of wrapping paper\, and bits of ribbon (hopefully recycled fr om your leftover scraps). She showed everyone the steps to follow: 1)wrap the roll and tie one end closed\, 2) make a promise to do something kind for someone else\, 3)blow a kiss into the empty roll\, 4) tie the other en d of the roll 5) Most important- KEEP THE PROMISE! The seemingly empty t ube will be filled with love\, and will be ready to bring to church on Chr istmas Eve or Christmas Day. During the 3:30 pm Christmas Eve Mass every child will be asked to place their gift at the manger during the gift proc ession. At every other Mass\, children may place their gift at the manger just before or after Mass.\nFather Larkin has also asked us to provide so me extra EMPTY wrapped tubes for parish or visiting children who won’t kno w to bring one. They will be able to use the extra rolls and make their pr omises and fill them with love at Mass. Just bring the extra WRAPPED roll s to mass and put them in the basket by the gift table (or you can give th em to me at school on Friday).
